Can you get rid of people seeing your Facebook messages?

In the personal messages, can you get rid of people seeing the message. I know you can do it while just normally texting but I can't work it out for Facebook & it's so frustrating. Thank you for any answers :-)

I am confused what you call as Facebook Messages. Facebook Message is already private only. It is shared between the two parties who are conversing. If you are talking with a group, then it is shared with them.
Are you talking about your wall messages? You can set privacy to your wall from settings or you can set the private while posting them into the wall. Android, iPhone and web supports it.
