Facebook Phone Verification?

I had a Facebook about 5 years ago and had registered this account to my phone. I had decided to deleted (not deactivate) this account last year and it wasn't until now that I created another one. Facebook has now blocked me from logging in because I am adding way to many people (but I know all of them). They want me to go through a phone verification. I punched in my phone number but it said that my phone number was already used to verify another account (which would be my old account that I had deleted last year). How can I get through this verification?

To get through the verification, just deactivate the previous account your number is attached to, too add people without it popping up add people one day at a time
