How do I set my Facebook relationship to private?

My girlfriend sent me a relationship request on Facebook and I don't have access to a computer. I only go on my iPhone to do all Internet things I have to get done. I want to accept her relationship request, but I want it set to private because I haven't came out to my family that I'm pansexual yet and so they don't know I like genders other than just guys.. My girlfriend understands that and I still want to put the relationship status up even if its just us that ever see it. Help?

Am I able to put the privacy setting up before I accept the relationship request?

Probably can't do that. Cause that whole relationship thing is there so other people can see it. If you want it to be just between the two of you, then you wouldn't have to say so on facebook. Unless there is some way i don't know about but i'm willing to bet that you can't.

Step 1: Go to your profile
Step 2: Click on "Edit Profile" on the right, upper corner of your profile.
Step 3: On the left hand side of the new page click "Friends and Family"
Step 4: Once on the "Friends and Family Page" click the down arrow with silhouette person beside it
Step 5: Click only me
Step 6: Save changes
