I have a question about Facebook?

Ok, so this is a little confusing. Lets say, on facebook, I friend Bob, who is friends with Sue. I am not friends with Sue, but since I am Bobs friend can I see her profile just as one of her friends would?

No, you can't see her profile like one of her friends can. There are generally 3 levels of access on Facebook:

1. Friend
2. Friend of a friend
3. Stranger

FB allows people to customize who sees what. Since you are friends with Bob, and he is friends with Sue, you could see Sue's profile at "Friend of a friend" level. However, many people don't have specific FoaF options set, so you may still see her profile as a Stranger.
