Facebook chat question!?

So when you go offline in chat i noticed that the chat bar turns a gray shade and it shows about 5-6 friends. Those friends ALWAYS happen to be the friends I frequently msg. However, one of my friends shows up on that list sometimes but I havent msgd that person in a few months. Does it go by who youve messaged the most or by the who most frequently views the msgs that you guys sent?

No, they are just random. In my chat bar, the person I talk more than anyone else appears somewhere in between the list, and those I never talked, appears at the top. Sometimes, they appear in a sequence of those we last contacted and sometimes they changes. So, I believe they are just randomly sorted.
