Why are people more obsessed with Facebook than they were Myspace?
I have noticed that back when Myspace was popular people used it for a while, logged off, and lived life. Facebook seems to be another story. It's like they can't put it away. Even newscasters, celebrities, and some people in congress have to talk about it or tell the viewers to follow/like them. I know companies use it to sell a product, but seriously. I created a Facebook just to see what it was all about, now I only use it for games. I ignore all of the nonstop posts from friends, because half of them are just stupid. Back when I deactivated my account for a while then came back, my friends were in a panic. They thought something bad happened to me, or I got banned from the site. I thought "Seriously? Wow." I think there might be a problem going on but I'm not entirely sure. I like human contact in real life, I will text someone about an event but that's it. I call for a real conversation. Facebook to me is just another website, it's not my whole life. But apparently leaving it is scary to my friends...strange I know. So, why is Facebook like an addiction to some people?
@CHЯISTIA... I'm 23 years old.

I think it is a social anxiety issue and people are more comfortable communicating through a proxy.. They compose 2 page replies or text messages but in person they cant hold a 5 minute conversation. Its the same with voting, they dont want to deal with the pressure or responsibility of their own actions

Maybe you're just an old person, You're used to the life back then, when everything was old.

Edit- My answer is still the same.
