Why am I such a big loser on facebook?
I feel like such a loser on facebook. Every time I meet a new person they want to add me on facebook and then they see my empty facebook. I feel like that's a real turn off for people. I don't have many friends in real life and I feel like I can't make new ones.

Friends on Facebook is overrated anyway. You should try adding family and any close friends you have.

I actually find people who constantly use Facebook and constantly write status's to be extremely irritating.

The only thing I can think of to make new friends is college, work, school or some sort of club?

You need to write something at your facebook and upload some photos to give them some idea of who you are.

Whether your page is empty or not, it's not a concern for normal people like me.

Making friends is so simple. Say a 'hi' and ask about the other person and this is all what is needed to establish a connection. Truly, friendship 'may' fade. So keep on making new friends.

To start with, I will add you as my FB friend. (No hidden agenda lol). Please provide your FB id.

when poeple want to add you as friends on facebook, the first thing they check is how many friends you already have. If you are one of those messed up ridiculous people who have 2000 something friends, a tenth of whom you dont know, they will just latch onto you and ride your popularity. but if you add only the people you know, that means you wont have a lot of friends online. so why don't YOU start adding people as friends on facebook? send friend requests to close relatives first and then widen it to school friends. facebook has become a standard of popularity these days. if people see the number of friends you have and judge you, then they are not worth becoming friends. a real friend judges you on your personality and decisions, not on your cravings for useless popularity

You should start by adding your Family and Friends first. Be nice when you comment on something, and post positive thing.
People don't like rude comments or someone who is annoying, they will delete you. But once you have your family and the friends you have on FB, their own friends will start sending you requests.
Be careful who you accept, there are a lot of weird people out there and just because they are your friends, friends, doesn't make them any safer.
Stick with the people you know, who cares if you don't have that many. People that have tons of friends on FB don't even talk to all of them, or know them at all. They end up being just that, FACES on their page.
