I have a question about FaceBook?

Things that get posted on my account have a little drop down box on the upper right corner.
Options are Follow Post, Hide, Report Story or Spam. I don't know what Follow post will do.
Can anyone tell me.

it alerts you to new posts from that person/group.

Following the post will let you get notifications for when people comment on it.

You will most probably get a notification each time there is a change in that post - like if someone likes it, comments on it and so on.
