Everything gets lame once the novelty has worn off.
It's not new any more so naturally people start to get a bit bored with it.

Not so many years ago we had the choice of a landline telephone, or writing a letter...

I think Facebook is fine, the developers that make the Facebook app are getting lame.... no, wait, the developers are getting LAZY! The Facebook app is extremely slow, every time they update the app, it gets worse.
