How to make Facebook name invisible to blocked person?

I want to completely block someone on Facebook, that includes them no longer seeing my name in past FB message conversations. I want them to only see me as "Facebook User" in our messages. I tried this out with my friend but she says she can still see my name in the message history after blocking. Even when I change my FB name, the blacked out name in the messages changed with it. I even temporarily deleted my account and my friend could still see my name. How do I appear as "Facebook User" to a blocked person?

there is no way to do that - what you are seeing is how facebook used to work - it doesnt work like that anymore
