If I mark a message as unread on Facebook....?

Will the person who sent it know I read it or will it be like I never read the message?

If you click on his or her message, then yes. It will show that you have seeing it at a specific time. But, if your on your computer, then you can click on the messages that will show you your most recent messages, but just DONT click on it. Youll still be able to see it, but it wont be shown as read. if you click unread then he/she will think that you havenot read it.
but if earlier when he/she had sent you msg and you read it then he/she will know that you have read it but have marked unread .
