When you buy followers on Twitter, where do they come from?
Are they specific, say if they where interested in things your business was selling? Or do they pick out some random people on twitter and make them follow you? I was just curious seeing as a lot of business' and music artists etc. seem to buy them.
@Thomas, I think you will find I never said at all I was buying any, clearly didn't read the whole question.

They hook people in by saying "free flowers, sign up" and after you type in your account and password you automatically get added to a list that follows complete random people. Also these could be multiple accounts that the seller is creating. Back when Twitter was new some of my friends did the whole free followers thing as mentioned above and they ended up following 1000 people (the website added them) and having 1000 followers so they spent the entire night unfollowing people.

When you buy Twitter followers you have to decide where if you want them targeted or untargeted.. Targeted followers are much more expensive because they will follow you based on your business and your keywords but unfortunately to gain 1000 targeted followers you will have to follow 1000's of accounts and expect a little percentage to follow you back.. Un targeted followers are 10 times cheaper, most websites won't need your password and it will just increase the number of followers.. Don't expect sales, comments, retweets or anything from untargeted followers. We have a small business and we have made various packages of followers from Add Twitter-Followers.com and our followers insights are mostly from USA. Even though they aren't targeted followers it makes our account look good and organic followers keep on coming..

some are using network sites that sell premiun accounts, and if you don't want to spend money on premium accounts, you are allowed to follower people (a window will pop out to be able for you to follow)
