After I add them I usually say hi and so we talk then after a bit she stops messaging its so annoying, how am I meant to keep the flow going when she doesn't give me a chance? This happens with a lot of girls why?

Maybe you should keep the conversation slow. Don't always say hi or pop up. Very so often say it. Occasionally like one or two pictures or statues here and there but don't message too much. Don't feel the need for you to run after them, let them run after you! X

they see that as you being bored and pathetic

you have to be able to entertain them - it takes a lot of effort and it also depends a lot on your age and their age... if you are a little kid, like under 18, then you should probably try things out in real life first instead of trying to talk to them online
