Facebook- keep stuff out the news feed?

I'm a little confused with this.
I want to edit my facebook profile- add a couple of favourite movies, tv series etc, but while I still want my friends to be able to see this stuff if they come to my profile, I don't want it appearing in the news feed. It's annoying when the news feed fills with 50 likes from one person
How would I go about doing this?

Go to you timeline setting & edit the setting. The setting same as below:
Just people to Friends. Do it. Then your problem should be solved.
