How do you get rid of a Twitter account?

So you know how on Facebook, if you make a new account, you can deactivate the other even if you don't know your email or password for the old one? You just say this is my old account? Well how do you do that on Twitter? I have a new account now, but I found one that I made when I was in the seventh grade - six years ago. How do I get rid of it? I don't know any of the information I used...

It could be very tricky to get rid of it if you don't possess any of the login info to log in and deactivate the twitter acccount

If you somehow get access to your old account, you can log in. Go into settings and then in the buttom you can deactivate it (and maybe delete it.. im not sure)
