9 friends box on facebook timeline...?

So I've been researching a bit about what determines which 9 friend show up on one's fb timeline, and i've kind of made a conclusion...
Profile views have a big role no doubt! I haven't had ANY interaction with my ex on facebook EVER, excpet him liking the only pic I have and he liked it a long time ago. He's ALWAYS 1st in my 9 friends box, hasn't changed position once, and it has to be non other than profile views that put him there, since we dont interact at all and never have. Now, I don't know if it's MUTUAL profile views, or just mine... coz I do view his profile quite often, but I'm not sure if he views mine...?? Could my views alone put him 1st on my profile???

I don't know but I had the same thought about the same issue, and according to the time that your question was posted, at the same exact time. Weird. Anyway I found this article which seems like a starting point, finding out what the mysterious algorithm contains is probably the only way to get a real answer. Notwithstanding
