Is it possible to follow someone accidentally on Twitter?
I have a lot of random followers and the numbers keep adding up and I don't know if it's accidental.

If you see this behavior like a trend, it is not accidental.
Probably you tweets some #followback tweets and others follow you in a hope you will follow them back.
If you not follow back, they will unfollow you in day or two.
