Does anyone know of any good social media companies?

Im thinking of trying to find an internship at a social media company, possibly somewhere in Silicon Valley. I am talking about companies such as Glam Media, Slide, and other creative companies that develop social media websites and software on the internet.
Could anyone give me the names of any companies they have heard of that are like I have explained, and they don't have to be in Silicon Valley.

It sounds like you are limiting yourself to one industry too much, to find a job in this environment you need to keep your options open. I would find a tech recruiter and ask for their help.
