I want Facebook to show that I am single, but "This [post] will not appear in News Feed"?

So, my now ex-boyfriend and I have recently split ways. Thank goodness it was a good breakup and mutual.

Anyways, on Facebook, when I changed my relationship status to "single" it said "This will not appear in News Feed." (referring to the update/post). However, I *do* want it to show, so people know he and I have ended. I don't really want to text everyone, that seems a bit egotistic. I just want people to know.

So, how do I make it visible? By visible, I mean actually say "[AEG] went from in a relationship to single." in an update? All my setting are to friends and such, I just don't know how to make it visible?

Facebook a updated it doesn't do that anymore

Firstly set your fb profile to public view and then try again...it'll be shown (Y)
