twitter problem with email confirmation?

so i hate how twitter keeps spamming my email with letters from things that happen on twitter. so i decided to make a new email where i use it just to put twitter notifications in it. so when i made a new email and changed my twitter email to it, my twitter keeps saying "confirm your email address" so i went and confirmed it but after i confirmed it that message is still there saying "confirm your email address" how do i get rid of that message because i already confirmed it? i know this is kind of confusing but please answer.

Im getting this problem too.. ive confirmed it twice with two different email addresses, yet the 'please confirm' box wont go away.
