Tracking and keeping a watch over a persons every move.

Stalking is when someone is following you around and wants to know every single thing about you, but you might not even really notice it. So for example if, at night you are asleep, your stalker would probably be watching through your window. He also wants to know where you live what you do for a living and stuff like that but he's not going to ask you personally but rather find it out by himself.

stalking is when to devote every hour of your time to a single person without the other person knowing. this doesnt just mean following them around.
it includes but is not limited to
-taking secret photos
-building a shrine
-only talking about the other person

A stalker would be that creep that follows you at a close but far distance. The shadow you see when you look outside your bedroom window. The person who breaks in your house and sniffs your bed just to see what you smell like is a extremely perverted stalker. Stalking would be just that.
