Can I study or take classes in more than one program within a school/college in university?
I'm planning on majoring in communications in college (I'm a high school senior now) and i realized that communications is just the umbrella term for specific programs. For example, film, radio, television and communication studies are two different programs within a school of communication. However, i don't want to take just ONE of these programs. I would like to do both or take classes in both so that i will have experience in the social/ethical impact of media in addition to hands-on experience with technology and the knowledge to control/work with it.
I have no idea if anything i just said just made sense or is true. I assure you, it did in my head I'm just super confused and stressed out. Please do NOT use your precious time to talk about how a degree in communications might be worthless, I've heard it all before. But it's what i have chosen to do, so yeah.. Please answer as soooon as possible, thank you (: Ads |

Some colleges make you choose a concentration in communications like some you have mentioned (tv productions, film, etc.) so it really depends on the college you attend. Some allow you to and some don't.
