how do i do this on facebook?

Can anyone tell me how I can block private messages to my profile from people who aren't my friends?
I have been receiving messages in my facebook profile inbox from people who I don’t know. How can I stop people from inboxing me if they are not my friend?

My profile is already very secure and I even got a friend to ‘de-friend’ me on facebook and check out profile. He said he could only see my display pic, my sex and ‘send a message’.

It’s the ‘send a message’ section I want to remove. I know it CAN be done as I have seen other people’s profile which is isn’t there – it only contains their name and photo. Can anyone please guide me through the process to be able to do this.

First go to account setting wich is under the tool. Next press privacy .. then you should see who can see my stuff?.. click edit and walla
