When visiting others profile(timeline) in facebook some years upto born is givn. Wht it means?

Its something that comes with facebook time-line. It helps with posting child hood pictures,exploring the life of your family or friends, and seeing what type of conversations you had long ago.

No, that doesnt mean they active from those years. we can update status using previous date. (click on the date icon on the status bar and change date). They have added any event or photo uploaded with previous date.
