how to get many many likes on my facebook page?

but you arent going to get rich or famous or anything just for getting lots of likes, so i fail to see the point in it

Yes, it is true you will not become rich and famous if you have may likes on Facebook but I can understand your desire to have them anyway, on some level it shows that people actually listen and care about what you have to say, just like in real life. try posting a status such as "like for a like" or like for an inbox/rate out of ten/report cad" these are common but are not completely reliable. you could also try posting pictures of a child battling disease or maybe an angel, next to a picture of someone with too much make-up, plastic surgery or fake tan. for this you could put, like for the angel/child, and scroll for the other. people feel obliged to like because to an extent they know that a child battling cancer is much more honourable that someone with plastic surgery. you could also simply post funny or meaningful status updates, showing people that following you would be a good idea also because you are deep and think about what you share with friends, not just spam.
