Facebook chat problem! Please help?

Ok, call me rude, but I appeared offline to my dad for privacy reasons, but he still see's me online when he's on his facebook! I can't see him online, but whenever I get on facebook he see's me online even though I appeared offline to him! What's going on? I tried turning off notifications from him, but it didn't work! What should I do?

You must have clicked the mute button.... check with that and click "Turn Off Chat For Dad". That's an odd problem you got there. And honestly you shouldn't hide things from your dad! And remember you are asking this on fathers day xD

Lol, I experienced same problem tho, IMHO, the difference is between phone and pc/laptop. Some of the phone model don't support this feature (on/off chat), and it appears always online even you aren't on. But, the notifications still show it on any other friends on the top right of the chat list. It means that you are is on facebook right that time.
