is it bad to sell admin rights to a facebook page?
a person recently offered me a lot of money for a page with 500K likes

they said they would pay me through paypal, and then I would give them the rights, so I don't really know how I could be scammed this way

but is it illegal or something and is it possible I could get in trouble for it?
how can you be scammed that way?

they would be paying you first...

"they said they would pay me through paypal, and then I would give them the rights, so I don't really know how I could be scammed this way" LMAO!

You are sadly misinformed.

yes, it's illegal

they can always rescind their paypal payment... or just have it conveniently "not go thru" - or report it to their bank after the page gets deleted for account transfer and then their would be a legal lawsuit

It's illegal and a scam, don't fall for it. They have ways and means of doing this.

its not illegal. those who say it is don't know what they are talking about.

section 4, paragraph 9 of Facebook TOS states: "You will not transfer your account (including any Page or application you administer) to anyone without first getting our written permission."

All you need to do is get Facebook's permission on this, and you are good to go.

However, nothing can protect you from scammers, or PayPal. Use your own judgment.
