How come when i talk to girls on Facebook they don't answer me back?

I go on Facebook everyday and i say hey wats up? to girls. The girls don't know me but i just want to be friends. Everytime i say hey wats up? they don't answer me back. I like to know what do i have to do to get them to answer me back?

Surely you have realized that there is something wrong with saying "wats up?" to girls on facebook? It creeps most of them out. Some think, you are just doing some small talk, some think it is not an important question to answer.

Consider making interesting questions without being creepy or like a stalker.
Make intelligent comments or compliment them more when possible.
