2.Which of the below do you think influences eating disorders the most?
Facebook Tumblr(Photo Blog)Twitter Magazines

3.If you have an mental disorder such as an eating disorder, depression, mood disorder or self-harm, do you feel social networking sites or celebrity magazines can sometimes trigger your illness? If N/A do you feel as if the above could trigger an individual with one of the above?

4.Have you ever visited a pro ana/mia (a site which promotes eating disorders) site to get tips on how to undergo an extreme diet or starvation process?

5.Have you ever been a victim of cyber bullying over your weight?

6.Do you think there should be more ‘curvy’ models in the media? Why?

7.Are you knowledgeable about mental disorders such as anorexia/bulimia/self harm?

8.If anyone you knew had the above would that change your view of them? Why?

9.Do you feel as if the glamorisation of skinny models in the media and the digital manipulation of models to make them appear more perfect is wrong? Why?

10.Do you think this problem is growing rapidly eg: from the 90’s when models were a size 12-14?

1. No
2. Facebook
3. Yes
4. No
5. No
6. Absolutely! They represent the typical, healthy person.
7. Not so much
8. No, I would just think they have an illness and need professional help
9. Yes. With the current epidemic of eating disorders, I think the media should be more conscious and have a better social and moral understanding / responsibility.
10. Yes
11. Bullying is already epidemic, and it will only increase if the problem persists. People will continue to have declining self images, and the problem will continue to perpetuate

1. Yes
2. Magazines and television
3. Yes they can trigger these disorders
4. No I haven't
5. No.
6. Yes there should be more 'curvy' models as there are too many tv personalities or models glamorising the idea of having the 'size zero' figure.
7. Yes I am
8. It would change my view because it would seem to me they have changed themselves into becoming something that's not worth being.
9. I do think its wrong because they're giving a near to impossible image to live up to. They are telling people to be something that's not possible accomplishing. It's a way to increase consumerism.
10. It is growing, young children are now wanting to look like the skinny models they see.
11. If this doesn't stop children will lose confidence and will care more about how others view them and they will ony want to look appealing, and the definition of appealing that they will follow is the one the media falsely put out there.

1. Have you ever started a diet due to seeing a skinny model glamorized in the media?

Nope I've started a diet just to be healthier for myself

2. Which of the below do you think influences eating disorders the most?
Magazines

3. If you have an mental disorder such as an eating disorder, depression, mood disorder or self-harm, do you feel social networking sites or celebrity magazines can sometimes trigger your illness? Yes I do believe so

4. Have you ever visited a pro ana/mia (a site which promotes eating disorders) site to get tips on how to undergo an extreme diet or starvation process? Heck no

5. Have you ever been a victim of cyber bullying over your weight?
Thankfully I haven't

6. Do you think there should be more ‘curvy’ models in the media? Why?

Yes nothing wrong with skinnier women but the playing field needs to be leveled and are body types should be embraced
7. Are you knowledgeable about mental disorders such as anorexia/bulimia/self harm?

To an extent I learned about hem in high school and college

8. If anyone you knew had the above would that change your view of them? Why?

Yes it would especially if on the surface they appear to be normal or confident in how they look or feel.

9. Do you feel as if the glamorization of skinny models in the media and the digital manipulation of models to make them appear more perfect is wrong? Why?

Yes it is because no one has perfect skin or a perfect body and trying to portray that makes people believe that it is real when it isn't

10. Do you think this problem is growing rapidly eg: from the 90’s when models were a size 12-14?

Yes as time goes on Models are getting skinnier and pretty soon being stick thin with ribs showing will be the look

11. How do you think the overall impact on younger children will be in ten years if this problem does not stop?

Yes children now are dieting or not eating because of what they see in the media
