You know how facebook tells the other person whether or not you have read their message? Is there a way to turn that feature off?
Does the facebook messenger app (for the iphone/ipad) tell the person whether or not you've read their message?

You can not turn this feature off, sadly. Yes it will tell them you have read it if you had viewed it on a mobile device. You can, however, mark messages as unread on the computer version so they don't know you have actually read them. To do this click on your inbox and hover over the users messages you want to "unread" and press the little circle which when hovered over will say "Mark as unread". Hope this helps
