How do you get tons of followers on instagram?

a lot of people that i know have a lot more followers than me but they don't really have any friends. right now i have a little over 200 followers but my goal is 500 followers. I've tried following a lot of other people, liking a lot of peoples pics on popular hashtags, making my profile public, but i'm not getting as many friend requests as i would like. i dont post excessively everyday, i dont even post everyday. please give me all the tips you can, to help me get more followers. thanks!!!!!

Get onto instatrain, its an online site, and all you need to do is link it to your account. It will follow people for you, and in return, make those people follow you.
Other than that, you can try and get shoutouts, try hashtagging 'shoutoutforshoutout', or comment it on peoples pics, you then both shoutout each other. The only other thing is, to just post cool pictures, good luck!
