Can anyone help me revamp the social media and video aspects of my website?
I have a Wordpress website right now that is hosted through a company called Host Gator. It has it's own registered domain and is essentially it's own site separate from Wordpress except making use of the platform.

A video section is a part of this subscription site but I currently have the page link to an outside site (Shutterfly Share Pages) where viewers can access exclusive videos. It would be preferable if I could actually have all my videos on my site itself but I don't think I have enough space from my host in order to do so.

I don't want to put the videos on a public sharing site like Youtube as that just anyone can access them without having to be a member of the site if I would do that.

So, I guess my best option is, and if this exists, using a site that would allow me to limit who can view it via password or making the video only accessible through a link on my site. Is this possible and if so do you have any suggestions on services or sites (preferably free) that could accommodate this?

Secondly, that same site offers very simplistic social networking capabilities. For example, each member has a profile, can upload a single profile photo and can friend people, update statuses, write on other profiles (like a wall) and send and receive e-mail. However, it's a bit lacking in style and I would prefer it to be more flexible. Any suggestions on ways to do so would be appreciated.

I would suggest for the video you try using Viddler. This allows you to make the video private and whitelisted only to your domain - http://www.viddler.com/features/privacy-security.

There are two possibilites with the style of your site. One would be to use a different theme - a new theme might be able to bring in or modify the style elements you would like. The other possibility is manually making changes to the images and CSS of the theme - depending on the theme there are a LOT of things you can make different simply by telling it through CSS to appear somewhere else or in a different manner.
