Why is he 21 on facebook but 17 in real life...?
My boyfriend has a fb and it says hes 21 but in reality hes only 17. I asked him why and he said "because its just easier..." I was like "easier for what?" And he just changed the subject. I dont understand but am a little concerned as to why hes hiding something
Any ideas?
Also he smokes weed ocassionally and drinks at parties if that means anything. Plz help thanks in advance!

Some people want to be older.

Sounds like a loser. I have no clue why any normal person would lie about their age that much at 17. He may be doing it so that people who do not actually know him will think he is old enough to drink and do certain things a 17 year old can not actually do. I also think he may be doing it so other girls think he is older. He probably is hiding something, there is no reason to put you are 21 on facebook.... when you are 17?

I agree with "incubabe" for the most part. he is definitely a loser but the fact he's 21 on facebook shouldn't mean he's hiding something. its just a thing some people think will make them look cooler. which is probably why he smokes weed and drinks as well.

I agree with the others. He's making himself look older on Facebook so people he meets there that does not know him in real life might actually think he's older and more mature to do those stuff that shouldn't be what a minor be doing. But saying that "because its easier" and changing the topic when you asked why kinda blows his cover a bit if you ask me. It becomes suspicious at that point and that's when you started to worry.

Its normal for guys to try and flirt with other girls even if he's got a girlfriend and its safer on Facebook. I would only worry too much if he's online that often. But if he goes so much further than that, that'll be cheating.

Guys who drink often and smoke weed also give me a bad impression.

There are lots of people who fake ages and statuses on Facebook; fake names, fake statuses, fake gender and just about anything that you can fake on making your personal info. I have seen surely more that 3 girls that have faked their ages. Some trying to be 18 when they are younger than that. I have two Facebook friends who are girls, one has faked her age to 32 but looking at her pictures (even the profile picture) says that she's surely must be below 16 and attending highschool but has a screenshot of some boyish shooting game as her cover photo that she might be playing and she might be using a fake age to look more cool with that. Another one that I personally had a chat with several times had faked her age up all the way to 80, despite being a 15 year old girl in real life and has her real self as profile picture. She said it was just for fun..
