Is it illegal to put social media icons on your business card?

For my own personal business card, can I not put the Facebook, Twitter etc, icons on my business card so people know where to reach out to me at?

Illegal or not, it is not very professional - especially Twitter. I see hundreds of business cards each week of my working life but have never seen any with these icons on, or even any reference to social networking sites (emphasis on the word "social")

Don't put anything having to do with facebook or twitter. The fact is that there are more losers doing dumb things on those sites than not. People have more of a negative impression than good of facebook and twitter. You can do linkedin though.
