facebook mobile help please?

every time i post a status update from my phone it says only i can see it and i have to make it a public status (from a computer) since my phone dosnt have internert.ive looked up ways to change it permently but in acount settings i cant find profile settings. please help

You need to change it while posting an update. Check the bottom right for an icon which is an option to set the audience for the post.
