Its called a hashtag and its just a specific topic and a way to spread that topic.

It relates the post to a certain topic, and people can see what topics are trending. For example, #Fun will "add" that post to a whole database of the topic fun and when people search #fun they will see that post

it's called a hash tag. when you tweet you can use it, for example if you are talking about a place you can use the hash tag (i.e #NewYork). it is like a link. if you click on it you can see the recent tweets about "#NewYork".

The "#" Sign means a hashtag, which when you tweet something, you can add a topic like #Bored #Fun #respect etc, & it can trend.
If you go on your Twitter and click the tap with "#" as the picture, you can click 'trends' and it'll show all the topics trending (which are the hashtag topics.) Hopefuly this helps, a little guide.. @ - mention, type the user that you're trying to mention before the username. # - hashtag, described above. Hope I helped |
