Started avalanche on someone else's fb wall. Now what?

I was recently friended on facebook by a popular local singer I met a couple days beforehand. I was really flattered, & she's a cat lover too, so I posted a funny "sad cat diaries" video on her wall. Sadly, one of her other friends/fans has now started covering her wall with cat videos & photos. I have unintentionally started an avalanche, and now I feel like crap. Would you please provide feedback with how I can make this right? Thought about posting another cat pic on her wall, but stating the following: "Thought you might like this cat pic, but I think facebook etiquette demands that I ask if you prefer folks sharing stuff like this as a private message instead of posting on your wall?" What do you guys think? Thanks so much for your help
