Random friend-request / message this girl? Ladies what do you think?

I'm a young doctor traveling to various hospitals for training. I met this young beautiful nurse, but only talked once briefly as I was swamped with work. I had plans to talk to her the next time I saw her, however I never ran into her again and I won't be returning to that hospital for at least a year.

Would it be poor facebook etiquette (too "stalker-ish") to randomly friend request her with a message explaining who I was and that I wanted to get to know her better?

I know some girls get weirded out by random facebook requests/messages...

Did you get a good vibe from her when you briefly spoke? Did she seem interested as well or not really?

If she's interested, she would be thrilled to get a message from you. If she was not that interested at the time, she would think it would be extremely creepy. So try and remember when you guys met and if you think she would be excited to get a message from you or if she would see your name / picture and not remember who you are.

keep in mind that any message you send her will end up in her "other messages" folder and she wont be notified that it's there, so it would be very unlikely that she would read it before accepting or rejecting your friend request

just send her the friend request anyways... maybe she'll recognize your picture and accept you

and most likely she already has a boyfriend
