10 POINTS - Can anyone think of any social and cultural issues that would apply to jewellery?
I only have two.
1.Religious symbols like crosses on the jewellery would limit the market as people from other religions rather than Christianity would not buy it.
2.If I made earrings that would also make the market slightly smaller as in some cultures and religions people are not allowed earrings.

can anyone think of any more? help wuld be greatly appreciated.

I think those are the main ones.
Theres also rings. As different rings mean different things,and some may apply to christianity so other religions wouldnt buy it.

how about the people mining those diamonds, getting their arms chopped off if they steal. or the money from the diamonds being bought from certain places in Africa, going to fund weapons for civil wars, and ethnic cleansing.
Watch Blood Diamond, that's pretty much THE social and cultural issue regarding diamonds/jewelery.
