how i want to avoid anyone from message me on facebook?

i want to avoid everyone that not on my friendlist to message me on facebook. Cause many of them disturb me on my past life. i just want them to know me anymore

Do these simple steps:
1. go to Account on the right side, top of facebook
2. Account -> privacy settings -> custom ->customize settings
3. make changes.
4. all done

Go to Account / Privacy Settings, Customize Settings and make your changes and save.

Turn the chat off. Go to privacy settings, you would see an option, who can message me, make the audience as "friends" then only your friends can message. You cant stop friends message you on Facebook.

There should be a little settings icon on the top on the chat near the persons name. There are options like disconnecting from chat or appearing offline to the person.
