Facebook - Positives & negatives?
I got into crap at school for an 'insulting comment' I put on Facebook to someone who had been a dick to me for the past few days (The guy told everyone I was a whore. Too bad he didn't know that I lost my virginity because I was raped.) Anyway, the principal made me write a page long assignment on the positives of Facebook. I couldn't find many positives so I put in a few negatives too (Which he is gonna kill me for doing), but who gives a damn.
Im stuck on the ending, I want to say something about Facebook being a 'goldmine of oppurtunity' but it doesnt fit in with the rest.

______

If all you've done on Facebook is comment on your friends' photos, then you're missing out.

Think about it. Mark Zuckerberg (Creator of Facebook) gave the world the ability to connect with each other. Now you can reconnect and keep in touch with friends, find lost family and meet new people. You can even use it to promote your business, music or blog.

Facebook is often used to contribute to charity, like the Christchurch earthquake. Almost half the money donated to the city's rebuild was either directly via social media or was encouraged through it. There are Facebook Pages supporting other charities, like Cancer Awareness. On such pages, you'll find millions of people 'liking', 'sharing' or donating.

Facebook is a great way to get employed and advance in your career. I'm not saying you should go and “friend” every potential boss. But rather, take advantage of the more personal connections you have on Facebook to look around. People you’re already connected to often have an interest in you, and they’re likely to go further to help you out than those who only know you professionally.

Despite all the great aspects of Facebook, it also has its downfalls. Its good to express your feelings, but sometimes those feelings are temporary. Looking back on past moments where you've posted your emotions on Facebook can leave you thinking ''Why'd I write that?''
Its like when you are in a heated argument and you say things you don't mean, but on Facebook those things are documented. You can't delete those posts without people seeing first.

Facebook is also a way to make superficial friends. Those who you don’t talk to very often, but you consider them friends. The dynamics of meeting on Facebook causes you to judge them by their appearance.
What’s the first thing you do when you make a friend on Facebook? You look at their profile which gives you a glimpse of their personality and likes/dislikes. And this information might not be an accurate perception of who the person is. Because you aren't able to fully interact with the person, you may get the wrong impression. This is how some friendships are broken up on Facebook.
On Facebook, you'll see many Suicide Prevention pages. However, Facebook is now officially one of the biggest teen suicide causes. What you think may be a harmless comment or childish post can actually result in the victim committing suicide. For this reason, there are several moderators in Facebook. But they can't report all the insulting or offensive comments that spring up on the site.

So its up to you how you use your Facebook, or if you use it at all.

About the piece, I think you can take 'creator of Facebook' out of parenthesis. First because most people know that he is but if you use it, just put a comma there. I think it's quite understandable that you would include the negatives on Facebook, especially considering the reason you are writing the essay to begin with. I'm not sure I agree with the superficial friend comment - I think because I'm friends with many people I don't know in real life. We just have common interests so I don't try to get to know them personally, but I'm still interested in what they have to say. Still if that's your experience, keep it in because it can be very difficult to communicate online - regardless of the forum.

I think the ending is great the way it is.
