So I was thinking that if a person posted up a status that they only wanted one person to see, I thought that the person could only see the http://t0.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9G...akusLOqb0M symbol above the status, I didn't think that the person could click on that symbol and see that the status is only directed toward them by seeing their name.

Am I right? lol

For example if a girl by the name of Mirena is a blonde.
And a Facebook friend wanted ONLY her to see a status that says "Blonde Psycho"... could she see the status, click on the symbol, and realize that this isn't for a few close friends or everyone of her friends but this is directed toward her by reading her name on there?

Yepp, it's directed to her... but everyone else can see it as well. It's pretty much tagging her in a status (referring to the example)

When you make a status that isn't 'Public', but instead directed specifically to just one person... only that one person and yourself will be able to see it. If that one person you send it to choose to view who you shared it with, it'll tell them you've shared it with them.

If you go into your 'Privacy settings' on Facebook, you'll be presented with a wide range of options to choose from; I suggest you take a solid look and go through each one. You can also stop people from looking at your friends list.
