Why is a person on my Facebook chat list moving from from more friends to favorites?

I know that the people on your "favorites" on Facebook are the ones that you interact with the most, and the people under "more friends" are the ones that you rarely interact with. Also, I've noticed that when I visit a friend's profile a lot, even if I don't interact with them, they go onto favorites. I have a few friends who I've never chatted with, and I haven't gone on their page, but I've interacted with them maybe a couple of times in the past, but they were on "other friends", and then all of a sudden, they moved onto "favorites". Does anyone know why this is? Could it be because they're visiting my profile?
