Too Many Facebook Messages?

Today i received many facebook messages from my friends which are only hi's and hello's and messages are not the case with me everyday because i always switch off the chat. I dont know the reason for that. Can anyone reply to this.
Ya Sree U r right .. I asked one of my friend who messaged me, he told me that u were shown online after a long time.

may b u accidently switched on ur fb chat or u are using facebook messenger which automatically connects once ur on mobile internt or on wifi hotspot.. plz check if u have signed out ur messenger and turned off ur chat window

check all other devices and apps in it... sign out from all of them...
