how can I get them to like me?

I'm working in a day camp with people I don't really know & they seem kinda snobby, I don't want to be alone though.. I want them to like me & I'm not the prettiest flower in the garden & I'm not very skinny either.. ;/ can someone give me some advice on how I can get them to like me & want to hang out with me? how can I be funny with out embarrasssing myself or looking stupid? please help me! I need to make friends not just with them, but with others to! I want to be that person who's fun to talk to & that you can come to for anything, I'm tired of feeling unloved & unwanted, please don't give me answers like "be yourself" & all that becuase I don't even know who I am, just please help me, somebody, anybody :'(

I know saying be yourself isn't the answer your looking for, and I know .you say you dont know who you are, but take some time to find you. Find the things that make you happy and then find more. It seems like your a little shy and sounds like your a caring person. I would have to say just start talking to people. Start by saying hello and keep them in conversation by asking questions. If you want to tell jokes go ahead, but you dont have to. Also if you do something embarrassing, laugh with them and say something like, ( that was funny).
You will find yourself.
And dont form yourself to what others like, because you will never be able to relax and you wont find yourself.
You cant please everyone and the peoples who wont look your way arnt worth your time.
The good thing about jerks is that they wear it on their foreheads. Lol
