why do people do that hashtag thing?
like for example if they take a silly little picture of their dinner or something theyll write... #knife #fork #plate #food #yum #nice #blah #blah..... or picture of car ...#new #car #wheels #red # shiny #fast .
what is the point in breaking what could be a couple of words or small small sentence into many words with hashtags and obvious point outs? i just dont get it, is it supposed to be cool or something? Ads |

It's a feature in Twitter.
What it does is to make that post become easier accessible by searching for the specific groups or words on twitter that's written after the hashtags. Sometimes you might see this on Facebook as well but that's because most Twitter users have their Facebook account and Twitter accounts synced so when they write something on Twitter it automatically transfers to Facebook including the hashtags.
