Facebook push notification glitch?

On and off for the pass few days iv been getting status updates of friends I have on facebook sent to my phone as push notifications.. I have no idea why it does this.. this morning I woke up to a push notification of a status update my brother made 2 weeks ago.. And yesterday I got one of my ex girlfriend and I was confused because I use to receive the same notifications when we were together, but when I broke up with her a year ago I unsubscribed from receiving those updates.. now it randomly started again.. is there any way to stop this?

I'm getting pushed notifications from friend status updates that are completely unrelated to me and i can't figure out why they're coming up and how to turn them off. I just started the last couple days for me and they'll all for posts that are old.
