Fake facebook "relationship" messages from strangers?
Not really worried about this, but I recently got a message today from a random man way over my age saying the following:
"Hello [my name]! how are you doing today ? i became very much interested when i view your profile, the memory of your cute photos couldn't erase from my brain and it keep on making me smiles every time i picture your photo in my brain and i was really looking for a good woman for serious relationship that could honor a good matrimonial home, i will be more interested to read from you as soon as you through my message, thanks yours Simon Joanna."
My little sister got a very similar message today too with slightly different wording, but with the same sort of meaning. He doesn't have any friends on his facebook, lives in Lancaster, Lancashire, from Las Vegas, Texas, and has a mid-40s profile picture and a picture of a house as the cover photo. As I looked through my inbox I noticed that I had other messages similar to this one from a long time ago, and looked on my sister's facebook and saw that she had those sort of messages sent to her too.

I don't think these are real people and profiles, but may I ask if anyone has any more information on this? It's clearly not stating an advertisement, it's just a really creepy message from strangers I don't even know. Is some sort of company or group of people sending out these messages to creep people out, or...?

If you're receiving unwanted messages, you can move them to your Other folder, change your filter preferences or block the sender.
