Can't upload videos from mac to Facebook?

Can't upload videos from mac to Facebook?
I've shot a few videos on my iPhone 3gs, uploaded them to my mac and opened them via iPhoto, yet when I go to upload the video to facebook it comes up:

Invalid Video File, please choose another file.

I can upload the video directly from iPhoto to facebook but it won't let me name it so that really isn't an option. I'm getting a feeling it has something to do with iPhoto, is there a way I can directly access the video file from my iPhone on the computer without having to go through some sort of photo/videoing software?

The Message you Received is Because your Video Probably Does Not Meet Facebooks Requirements you Need to Change your Video So it Meets There Video Requirements
