My mom changed my facebook password?
A few weeks ago, my mom told me that she had downloaded a keylogger onto the computer. I had gone to the pool for a few hours that day, and when I did, she took my laptop, went to the keylogger, found my facebook password and logged in. Then, she changed my password and wouldn't tell it to me. I got so, so mad; if she'd have asked I would have just given my password to her. Well, a few weeks later, I was really getting tired of her having to always log in for me, because she isn't always home. So I went to my email and changed the password, wrote it on a piece of paper, and gave it to her. She got so mad, she started yelling, and now she's gonna delete my Facebook, the only way I get to communicate to my friends. She said that she never wanted to talk to me again, and now refers to me as "that one." Is she overreacting or is it my fault? BTW I'm 14

Crazy. She is overreacting. Why did take your fb pass anyway? Does she not trust you?

You have a very prying mother. Honestly, I don't think she should get away with that... I'd flip a sh!t. But even if she does delete the facebook, screw her. Make another one with a different last name. Also, delete her keylogger and put a password on your laptop. CCleaner would probably work for deleting it, but there's plenty of ways. Google is your friend.

☆ After all she is your mother and she intends fpr your Good only. One day you'll understand it. :-)

"And We have enjoined on man [to be good] to his parents: in Pain upon Pain did his mother bear him and his weaning was over two years. Be thankful to Me and to your parents, unto Me is the final destination." [Noble Quran 31:14]

You're only 14 and she obviously didn't want you to have a Facebook in the first place and that's why she downloaded that keylogger! Facebook is very dangerous for kids your age and you obviously have no idea how dangerous it can be, fake profiles N all! She just wants you to be safe and shes only thinking of you! But what do you do? You create one behind her back! You're too young to have a Facebook anyways! So glad I waited till I was almost 17

Your mother is somewhat right and wrong.

Right because Facebook is causing more bad than the good many claim to see. It has destroyed relationship, communication, friendship, and it takes away too much time. She was trying to protect you from the harm of Facebook. Although what you could have done is show her that you're not addicted.

However, your mother is wrong on the part where she said she'll never talk to you again. There are worst cases out there and parents would still love their kids.
